The Eshopps R-Series (shown here as the R-200 Refugium Sump, 3rd Gen) uses a dual water-channel design that splits incoming drain water into separate refugium and skimmer flow paths. The refugium receives unfiltered water to absorb nutrients while the skimmer chamber filters debris through a micron sock ahead of the protein skimmer, with both paths converging in the return chamber. It is built from acrylic with a removable drain lid for quiet operation.
